December 9, 2011 6:00 p.m. - Elise Kolle, harp with Emma Resmini, flute - Kennedy Center Millennium Stage.

December 22, 2011 12:30 p.m. - CMS Harp Students perform at Hartfields Retirement Community in Stafford VA.

January 28, 2011 3:00 p.m. - Bedside Harp workshop with Jane Taylor - Jane will discuss the ins and outs of playing harp in a healthcare setting.  She will demonstrate appropriate repetoire on her 23 string Blevins harp and there will be time for questions and answers.  This workshop will be held at the Crookston Music Studio in Lake Ridge.

January 15, 2012 - Deadline to apply for the DC Harpfest competition.  See www.dcharp.org for more information.  Competition is on March 3, 2012.

February 11, 2011 -  Postmark Deadline: Scholarship Competition Applications. (Kiki Thomaidis Piano/WMC Instrumental/WMC Vocal)  Competition is held on March 3, 2012.

February 24-25, 2012 – Piano Festival event for CMS students in Manassas, VA.  Please contact Loralee for place/times if you are already signed up. 

March 2-3, 2012 - DC Harp Festival with Atlanta Harpist Elizabeth Remy Johnson.  Concerts, Workshops, Masterclasses and Competition. Pedal Harp oriented but good for all harpists.  See www.dcharp.org for registration forms.

March 3, 2012 – Kiki Thomaidis Piano competition, WMC instrumental and Vocal competition.  www.woodbridgemusicclub.org (under the student link) Competition for students.  St. Pauls UMC, 1400 G Street, Woodbridge, VA. 

March 11, 2012, 2:00 p.m. - WMC Competition Winners Recital, St. Pauls UMC, 1400 G Street, Woodbridge VA.  Includes voice, piano and instrumental (hopefully harp) winners. This concert is free to the public.

May 12, 2012 - WAFHS Annual Concert - Traditional lever harp concert. The CMS student harp ensemble will be performing the preconcert music.  All participants may play in the big harp ensemble at the end of the concert.  No cost for ensemble players, but there is admission fees for others.  See www.wafhs.org for full details as they become available. 

May 6-13, 2012 – National Music Week, CMS scholarship students perform at the McCoart County Building (around noon). 

May 5, 2012 - VASTA Harp Exams - TBD  I will let you know as soon as I will have registrations forms for the exams.

May ??-??, 2012 – Piano Guild auditions.  Please contact Loralee for additional information. 

June ??, 2012 - Crookston Music Studio combined piano and harp recital. (Location TBD)
